Elderflower & Honey Herbal Tea
A soothing, aromatic herbal tea blend combining dried elderflowers, chamomile, lemon balm, and a spoonful of raw honey. Elderflower is beloved by pollinators and by herbalists alike for its gentle calming and immune-supporting properties.
Method
- 1
Combine herbs
Add dried elderflowers, chamomile, and lemon balm to a tea infuser or small muslin bag.
π‘ Elderflowers are also wonderful fresh in early summer β use 2 tablespoons of fresh flowers if you have them. - 2
Steep
Pour boiling water over the herbs. Steep for 7β10 minutes. Longer steeping gives a more potent, slightly more bitter brew.
β± 9 min - 3
Sweeten with honey
Remove the infuser. Wait 1β2 minutes for the tea to cool slightly below boiling, then stir in raw honey. Heating honey above 95Β°F destroys its enzymes and flavor nuances.
π‘ Honey should always be added to warm tea, never boiling. - 4
Serve
Pour into your favorite mug. Add a slice of lemon if desired. Breathe it in β elderflower is as much aromatherapy as beverage.
