Honey Garlic Glazed Salmon
A weeknight dinner that feels like a restaurant meal. The glaze — made from raw honey, garlic, soy, and a splash of apple cider vinegar — caramelizes beautifully in a hot pan, coating the salmon in a lacquer of sweet, savory, and tangy flavor.
Method
- 1
Make the glaze
Whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
- 2
Season the salmon
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
💡 Dry fish = better sear. Pat aggressively. - 3
Sear
Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Place salmon skin-side up and sear for 3–4 minutes without moving it.
⏱ 4 min - 4
Glaze and finish
Flip the salmon, pour the glaze over the fillets, and cook another 2–3 minutes, spooning the glaze over the fish as it caramelizes. It's ready when it flakes easily at the thickest part.
💡 Watch carefully — honey glazes can go from golden to burnt quickly over high heat.⏱ 3 min - 5
Serve
Transfer to plates and spoon any remaining pan glaze over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon wedges.
